Cocktail Anatomy: Ginny Weasley

My cool older cousin introduced me to this drink– an overly-simple, probably-gross, definite party-concoction. This is a drink born out of desperation– when the coke runs out, and the host forgot to buy tonic water– take a couple of shots and then mix yourself a Ginny Weasley. Trust me, you’ll need those shots first.

It’s a Red Solo Cup kinda drink if there ever was one.

Step One: Get drunk, preferably at a party full of people calling each other by the wrong name.

Step Two: Proceed to the drink table / kitchen. See some potato vodka and orange soda… Kel loves orange soda.

Step Three. Pour these into a red solo cup. Proportion it as you desire, depending on just how drunk you want to be.

That’s it. That’s really all there is. I like this “cocktail” though, so don’t dismiss it so quickly. It’s great for parties because it’s so easy and readily available, plus it’s a great conversation starter! When people ask, “What are you drinking?”, you get to say, “a Ginny Weasley!” Usually they laugh. Look at you, making people laugh. Alcohol is just the best, isn’t it?
