The inconnu blog is officially on hiatus! Right now, we’re hard at work building a brand fucking new website AND putting the final touches on the Future Issue. inconnu as you know it is gone forever, and we are very excited to share with you the new inconnu — the inconnu of our dreams: equal parts magazine and website.

But never fret, inconnubies: while we work on our relaunch, you can keep up with the inconnudashians on social media, revisit and share past articles from our archives, and of course, stay tuned for news about the 3rd print issue, out in early September!!!!!!!!

So buy that, and read it 10,000 times while you sit on your hands and wait for an all new

And for all you bitchy, sarcastic geniuses out there who are capable of writing long, thought-provoking articles, we are looking to add new members to the inconnu family!

Writers, artists, musicians, and video makers: send us your resume, and a list of reasons you want to work for us to

    Hi Inconnu!
I was wondering- in terms of contributing to the magazine, whether submissions have to be ‘funny’? That is to say, I would love to attempt to write an article concerning subject matter thats a little more heavy and gross- obviously attempting to keep it as upbeat as possible, but is that just a bad idea from the get-go?

    • Hi Mel. Thanks for the question.
Good writing can make even the most serious of subject matter witty and darkly funny. Try reading stuff by David Sedaris or Philip Roth if you want to familiarize yourself with this writing style.
